Mosquito eggs are only able to hatch when temps reach a consistent 50 degrees. Once it does, this sets off the start of mosquito season and they begin to reproduce rapidly. This makes it important to start preparing in Spring for mosquito heavy months that peak in the Summer and will linger through Fall.
Did you know the itch you feel after a mosquito bite isn't actually from the bite itself? The female mosquito uses her proboscis(the needle) to inject into the skin to find a blood vessel to suck out the blood, and the itchiness actually comes from her saliva that she injects before and after sucking your blood like Dracula! Her saliva is an anticoagulant that keeps the blood flowing as she's sucking your blood.
