fleas

If you have pets, preventing fleas starts there.

Fleas are small, flightless parasites that feed on the blood of various warm-blooded animals. They are about 2.5mm long and have a shiny, reddish brown body. They are capable of jumping very long distances.

The most common host for fleas are your household pets: Cats and dogs. They attach to your pet when it's outside, and then infest it's fur and the places your pet sleeps indoors. Because of this, it's important to be proactive about fleas and have your pet on a regimen recommended by your vet to prevent your pet from being a host for fleas.

If you have a flea infestation, give us a call today. Flea pest control requires treating infected animals(if there is one), cleaning flea-infested areas, and taking preventative measures to keep the fleas from returning.

When Hoosier Pest Control comes out to treat your home for fleas, we will do a fan spray on all floors. If the fleas aren't on your pet, they are residing in the flooring, especially places where there is carpet. Depending on the severity of the infestation, one spray will usually rid all of the fleas, as long as the cause of the fleas is also taken care of.
